Biography

I am an expressive art therapist and am passionate about using multi-cultural, trauma-informed practices to empower students to recognize their strengths and their innate abilities to grow and succeed. This is my seventh year working in school-based mental health with youth from 3-19 years old. I love youth of all ages but am most passionate about working with adolescents. I am most recently coming from Capuchino High School in San Bruno where I worked in a therapeutic classroom with students who experience moderate/severe mental health challenges. In this role I supported students in learning how to manage their classroom stress while mitigating heavy emotional challenges.

I typically say that I am “from Los Angeles” but I was born on the East Coast and landed in LA for my middle and high school years. I obtained my B.A. at UC Santa Cruz in Intensive Psychology and M.A. at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco in Counseling Psychology.

During my short time at Meno, it has become abundantly clear that this faculty treats one another like family. I have felt more warmly welcomed than ever before. I could not be more excited to be joining such a vibrant and enthusiastic community!

In my free time I love any opportunity to dive into a creative endeavor which could be anything from writing poetry, going to an open mic night, or painting with friends. I love to be outside and walk my adorable pup on the beaches of Pacifica. I love to travel and often spend my summers exploring new countries and cultures.
