Train with the Knights: Girls’ Flag Football camp Summer 2026
About the Team
The California Interscholastic Federation added flag football as a varsity sport for 2023.
Menlo School made a quick impact with two full teams and recorded a 15-1 record in its inaugural season with two former NFL quarterbacks in its coaching ranks.
Menlo’s team completed a perfect season in 2024, ending with a 20-6 victory over host Sacred Heart Prep in the girls’ first Flag Football Valpo Bowl. The Knights finished the season undefeated at 17-0, led by League Player of the Year Ava Allen ’27, and extended their unbeaten streak to 32, dating back to Sept. 27, 2023. They won the West Bay Athletic League’s first championship and fielded two teams with 45 players in the program.

The Coach
Noah Lubarsky (Second Season)
Lubarsky, a 1994 graduate of Menlo where he played receiver, returned to his alma mater as a tackle football coach in 2012. He took the reins of the flag football program in 2024, guiding the the Knights to an undefeated (17-0) season.
Lubarsky is known for cultivating strong ties with players and helping them reach their potential as students and athletes. In fall 2023, Lubarsky served as varsity assistant coach-quarterbacks for Menlo tackle football, which finished the season as Peninsula Athletic League-Ocean champions and went 10-2. He worked closely with the quarterbacks, including Offensive Player of the Year Mikey McGrath.
Lubarsky was JV head coach for six years prior to last season and led the Knights to league titles in 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 despite Menlo being the smallest school in the division. He also served as offensive coordinator, and coached defensive backs, running backs and receivers.
