Biography
I joined Menlo’s faculty in the summer of 1993, and since then I have held many roles on campus. I was an Upper School Spanish Teacher until 2021 and was the World Language Department Head for three years. For the last three years I have served Menlo as an Associate Director of Admissions. I am excited to return to the classroom this year and will be teaching Spanish to Freshmen - Juniors in levels II and III.
I am a Bay Area native and grew up in Menlo Park. I received my BA in Spanish from DePauw University in 1993, then continued my education at Middlebury College, where I received an MA in Spanish Language and Literature. Throughout my teenage and adult life I have fallen in love and spent extended periods of time in many Spanish speaking countries, including Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica and Argentina. I also speak Catalán, thanks to the five years living in Barcelona, where I met my husband.
I live in Half Moon Bay with my husband and two sons. I enjoy travel, tennis, politics, movies, Formula One, and snuggling with my 5 year old labradoodle, Maverick.
